The Hogwarts Legacy house-elf living quarters are in the castle kitchen, in the south-east corner in front of a stack of barrels. You reach the kitchen through a painting of a pear in the cellar corridor below the Great Hall. The area has been part of the game since launch on 10 February 2023, so no patch added it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game is on sale for $\u00a059.99 on Steam<\/a> as of 26 October 2026, and the official site<\/a> lists PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch, with a Switch 2 version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Follow the hallway to the bottom. A painting of fruit hangs on a door on your left.<\/li>\n\n
  3. Tickle the pear in the portrait. The portrait opens and the kitchen is behind it.<\/li>\n\n
  4. Walk to the south-east of the kitchen, in front of the stacked barrels. Cast Revelio to reveal the Field Guide page “House-Elf Living Quarters”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The guide lists the Field Guide page as number 15 of its Great Hall run and a collection chest in the same kitchen. No official page confirms these counts, so they are player-guide details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The quarters hold one Field Guide page, which adds an entry to the Field Guide and counts toward collectibles progress. Anyone who wants a full Field Guide has a reason to cast Revelio at the barrels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
