Star Wars Outlaws Joins PS Plus as a Ubisoft+ Classics Title

Star Wars Outlaws is the standout addition this month. Developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, it launched on August 30, 2024 as the first open-world Star Wars game. Players control Kay Vess, a scoundrel navigating the galaxy’s criminal underworld, exploring iconic and brand-new planets, engaging in blaster combat, stealth gameplay, and spaceship dogfights.

The game joins the PS Plus catalog under the Ubisoft+ Classics label, meaning it is exclusive to PS5. The base game is included, but the two DLC expansions are not part of the subscription and are priced separately. There are no missable trophies in the base game, and everything can be completed on the easiest difficulty setting, making it accessible for trophy hunters.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Returns to the Catalog

Rockstar’s 2018 epic Red Dead Redemption 2 is a PS Plus re-release, having previously joined the service in May 2024 before departing months later. The game follows Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde Gang during the dying days of the Wild West era, offering one of the most critically acclaimed open-world campaigns in gaming history.

RDR 2 is listed as a PS4 title but runs on PS5 through backward compatibility. It includes Red Dead Online, giving players access to multiplayer activities including moonshine running, posse formation, and outlaw showdowns. Be warned: a platinum trophy run can take upwards of 200 hours due to the 70 gold medal requirement.

Bramble, The Thaumaturge and Other Highlights

Bramble: The Mountain King is a dark adventure game inspired by Nordic folklore. Players guide a young boy named Olle through stunning and unsettling environments in a quest to rescue his kidnapped sister from trolls and mythical creatures. It is available on both PS5 and PS4 and is widely considered a hidden gem for its atmospheric storytelling.

The Thaumaturge is a narrative RPG set in an alternate version of early 20th-century Warsaw, steeped in supernatural mystery. Players control Wiktor Szulski, a thaumaturge who can peer into the minds of others and summon folklore-inspired demons called salutors. The game features turn-based tactical combat and branching story paths. It is PS5 only and has 57 trophies with no DLC requirements.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn blends Souls-lite combat with guns and magic. Built by A44 Games, the studio behind Ashen, it tasks players with fighting gods and undead armies in a world on the brink of collapse. Comparisons to a lighter, more action-oriented soulslike are common. PS5 only.

Broken Sword Reforged and Enotria: The Last Song

Broken Sword: Shadows of the Templar: Reforged is an enhanced remake of the award-winning 1996 point-and-click adventure. It follows George Stobbart and journalist Nico Collard through a globe-spanning conspiracy involving the Knights Templar. The reforged version offers improved visuals and modern quality-of-life updates while preserving the classic puzzle-driven gameplay. Available on PS5 and PS4.

Enotria: The Last Song is a Soulslike action RPG set in a sun-drenched world inspired by Italian nature and folklore. Players take on the role of the Mask of Change, donning the masks of defeated enemies to unlock new abilities and combat styles. With three endings requiring multiple playthroughs and some missable collectibles, it presents a decent challenge for completionists. PS5 only.

Time Crisis: A PS1 Classic for Premium Subscribers

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers receive one additional title: Time Crisis. Originally released in 1997, the iconic arcade light-gun shooter has been converted for PS4 and PS5 with all-new gyro aiming via the DualSense controller. Sony first announced this addition during the February 2026 State of Play presentation.

Time Crisis includes the original console-exclusive special stages alongside the core arcade experience. As with other Bandai Namco classics on PS Plus, trophy support is not expected. The game is also available for separate purchase on the PS Store.

What About the May PS Plus Essential Games?

Earlier this month, on May 5, the Essential tier received its own separate lineup of three monthly games:

  • EA Sports FC 26 (PS5, PS4)
  • Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PS5)
  • Nine Sols (PS5, PS4)

These Essential titles are available to all PS Plus members and can be added to your library until early June. EA Sports FC 26 also comes with a free Icons Pack exclusive to PS Plus subscribers.

Games Leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium on May 19

Eight titles are departing the catalog on the same day the new additions go live. Once removed, they can no longer be accessed through the subscription and must be purchased separately to continue playing:

  • Control: Ultimate Edition (PS5)
  • Mortal Shell (PS4)
  • Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition (PS5)
  • MotoGP 25 (PS5, PS4)
  • Sand Land (PS5, PS4)
  • Soul Hackers 2 (PS5, PS4)
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan (PS4)
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope (PS5, PS4)

Control: Ultimate Edition is arguably the biggest loss, having been a catalog staple for years. It offers around 20 to 25 hours of gameplay and sets up one of the most anticipated upcoming sequels. Sand Land and Soul Hackers 2 are also worth prioritising before they disappear.
