Updated 26 October 2026: Black Ops Cold War joined on 8 September, so eight Call of Duty games are in the catalog, and Modern Warfare 4 launched on 23 October without Game Pass, with Holiday 2027 as Xbox’s stated window.
Call of Duty games on Game Pass in October 2026 are eight titles: Black Ops 7, Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare III, Modern Warfare II, WWII, Modern Warfare (2019), Vanguard and Black Ops Cold War. Modern Warfare 4 launched on 23 October 2026 outside the service, because new Call of Duty games now join Game Pass Ultimate about a year after launch. Xbox gives Holiday 2027 for its arrival.

Modern Warfare III was the first Call of Duty on the service after the Activision Blizzard deal closed, on 24 July 2024. Black Ops Cold War arrived in Microsoft’s first September wave for Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.
Which Game Pass tier each game needs
- Ultimate carries the whole Call of Duty catalog on console, PC and cloud, and it is the tier where new Call of Duty games arrive a year after launch.
- Premium carries Call of Duty on console only. Modern Warfare (2019), Vanguard and Black Ops Cold War were listed for Premium, and WWII, Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III have been on it since the October 2025 relaunch. Black Ops 7 and Black Ops 6 were outside the Premium list in April 2026.
- PC Game Pass carries the Call of Duty catalog on PC only.
- Essential has appeared in no 2026 Call of Duty wave.
What Game Pass costs
After the 21 April 2026 price change, the Game Pass page lists these US monthly prices: Essential $ 9.99, PC Game Pass $ 13.99, Premium $ 14.99 and Ultimate $ 22.99. Ultimate came down from $ 29.99 and PC Game Pass from $ 16.49, 9to5Google reported, reversing part of the October 2025 increase. The tier names date from 1 October 2025, when Core became Essential and Standard became Premium.
Is Modern Warfare 4 on Game Pass?
Modern Warfare 4 is outside Game Pass at launch. It released on 23 October 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, and buyers pay for it on day one. Microsoft changed the rule on 21 April 2026; the Call of Duty team wrote that new games will come to Ultimate “the following holiday after launch (about a year later)”, and Xbox’s notice to members gives Holiday 2027 for Modern Warfare 4. The Game Pass page carries the rule in its footnote to the day-one benefit: “Select games. Excludes Call of Duty titles.” Activision offers some Game Pass members 10% off the Vault Edition.
Call of Duty added to Game Pass in 2026
- 17 April 2026: Modern Warfare (2019), on Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.
- 17 June 2026: Vanguard, on Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.
- 8 September 2026: Black Ops Cold War, on Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.
No Call of Duty title appeared in Microsoft’s leaving-soon lists this year. Microsoft has said that more catalog titles are planned without naming them, so a ranking of Black Ops II, Advanced Warfare or Infinite Warfare as the next arrival is a guess.
