EA Sports FC 26 Joins Game Pass During the World Cup

Its addition to EA Play on June 18 means Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can access it at no extra cost, since EA Play is bundled into those tiers.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is currently underway in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and EA Sports FC 26’s “The World’s Game” update added a dedicated World Cup tournament mode on June 4, featuring 53 licensed national teams. Starting July 2, the game expands to Game Pass Premium as well. The remake features updated visuals, new skaters, additional parks, revamped trick systems, and a stacked soundtrack. If you missed it at launch, this is one of the wave’s strongest returning additions.
Spotlight on Abyssus, Junkster, and the Indie Picks
Junkster is the only day one Game Pass release in this wave. It is a 3D action platformer where you play as UM-13, a construction bot stranded on a junkyard planet. The core loop revolves around repairing your ship, recovering lost cargo, and using a creative building mechanic to overcome obstacles. Available from June 16 for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Abyssus arrives on June 25 as a fast-paced one-to-four player co-op FPS roguelite set in the underwater ruins of a lost civilisation. Developed by DoubleMoose Games and published by The Arcade Crew, the game originally launched on PC in August 2025 and is now making its console debut on Xbox Series X|S with full crossplay support. Expect ultra-customisable weapons, hundreds of power-ups, and a “brinepunk” aesthetic that sets it apart from typical roguelites.
RV There Yet? (June 30) is a co-op survival game where your group gets stranded in the deadly Mabutts Valley on the way home from holiday. Keep your burgers, antidotes, and EpiPens stocked to survive the journey to Route 65.
Winds of Arcana: Ruination (July 6) is a story-rich, fully voiced 2.5D action Metroidvania. You guide Aryn through a sundered world, wielding powerful magic and uncovering ancient mysteries. It rounds out the wave on Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC.
Games You Might Have Missed from Wave 1
June’s first wave was equally packed. Jurassic World Evolution 3 and Final Fantasy VI landed on June 3. Solarpunk arrived day one on June 8. Persona 5 Royal joined on June 9. The full 1.0 release of 33 Immortals hit on June 11 with all regions, the final boss encounter, and expanded customisation. The Elder Scrolls Online also became available on PC Game Pass from June 2.
On the update front, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 04 is now live with brand-new multiplayer maps, weapons, and an all-new roguelite mode for Zombies. Sea of Thieves: Season 20 launches on June 18 with the “Custom Seas” feature, letting players create their own game modes and use a free camera to capture moments.
