Forza Horizon 6: Japan’s Open World Is Now on Game Pass
The undeniable centrepiece of Wave 2 is Forza Horizon 6 from Playground Games. Set across the breathtaking landscapes of Japan with over 550 real-world cars, it is the largest open-world driving game in the Horizon series. The standard edition launched on 19 May for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost. Players who purchased the Premium Edition or Premium Upgrade gained early access from 15 May, along with the Car Pass (30 weekly cars), VIP Membership, and two future expansions.
Five Games Drop on 20 May
The busiest single day in Wave 2 is 20 May, when five titles land simultaneously:
- Remnant II: A critically acclaimed three-player co-op shooter from Gunfire Games. It blends methodical and frenetic combat across procedurally generated worlds, with unique loot and punishing boss encounters.
- Dead Static Drive: Described as “Grand Theft Cthulhu,” this indie survival-horror game follows a nightmarish road trip across 1980s Americana, mixing Eldritch horror with small-town unease.
- Pigeon Simulator: A co-op extraction game where players take the role of pigeons in a paranormal containment unit. Locate and neutralise anomalies threatening New Squawk City while meeting quotas.
- Winter Burrow: A cosy woodland survival game. Play as a mouse returning to your childhood home, gather resources, knit sweaters, bake, and befriend forest locals to survive winter.
- My Friend Peppa Pig: A family-friendly adventure where you create a character and explore Peppa Pig’s world through playful activities and familiar characters.
Luna Abyss: A Narrative-Driven Day-One Launch
Arriving on 21 May, Luna Abyss is a first-person action-adventure with fluid platforming and bullet-hell combat. Players control Fawkes, a prisoner condemned to explore a crumbling megastructure deep beneath the surface of the mimic moon Luna. Guided by an artificial warden named Aylin, you descend into the Abyss: a world of lost technology, alien ruins, and cosmic horror. It is one of four day-one Game Pass launches in this wave.
Escape Simulator, Echo Generation 2, and The Outer Worlds
On 26 May, Escape Simulator joins the library. It is a first-person puzzle game playable solo or in online co-op, featuring highly interactive escape rooms and a substantial library of community-created challenges.
Two notable titles arrive on 27 May. Echo Generation 2 is a day-one Game Pass release: a sci-fi deckbuilding RPG where you build a crew, master powerful decks, and uncover a growing cosmic threat. Both 28 May additions are day-one launches. Crashout Crew is a physics-based online co-op game for up to four players. You work together at “DE NILE SHIPPING,” fulfilling orders of increasingly chaotic boxes where time is money and safety is optional. Kabuto Park is a short, charming bug-collection game where you play as Hana, a girl on summer vacation who catches beetles, levels them up, and battles other kids to become the Summer Beetle Battles champion.
Final Fantasy VI and Jurassic World Evolution 3 Arrive 2 June
Technically spilling into June but included in the Wave 2 announcement, two major titles land on 2 June. Final Fantasy VI, originally released in 1994, is widely regarded as one of the greatest RPGs ever made. Set in a world where magic vanished after the War of the Magi, it follows a woman with mysterious powers in a sprawling story with a legendary ensemble cast. Square Enix has been adding classic Final Fantasy titles to Game Pass on a monthly basis.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 from Frontier Developments launched in October 2025 and now joins Game Pass. The park management simulation lets you build and run Jurassic World parks, nurture generations of dinosaurs, and customise sprawling prehistoric environments across global backdrops.
Which Games Are Leaving Game Pass in Late May?

Forza Horizon 6, which went live on 19 May, is also a day-one title. This means subscribers get five new games at launch without paying anything beyond their existing subscription.
What Else Happened in Game Pass During May?
Wave 1 earlier in the month brought heavy hitters including DOOM: The Dark Ages (14 May), Subnautica 2 in Game Preview (14 May), Mixtape (7 May), Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (6 May), and Final Fantasy V (5 May).
