Choose USD at the top of this page and order the $ 1 code. It adds one US dollar to your USD wallet; after the order is complete, open My Orders and choose See Codes to retrieve it.

Yes. Steam’s USD pricing announcement places both countries in MENA-USD or LATAM-USD, and these regions accept USD wallet codes. Old Turkish lira and Argentine peso codes convert to USD when redeemed.

No. Steam Wallet funds cannot be gifted, withdrawn or transferred to another account, so redeem the code on the account that will spend it. An unused code can be redeemed by its recipient on an account whose wallet uses the same currency.

Steam is ending physical gift card sales at retail stores and expects stocks to run out by the end of 2026. Existing cards remain redeemable, subject to local laws.

Re-enter it and check look-alike characters: Q, O or D for 0, I for 1, 8 for B and 6 for G. Confirm that your wallet uses the code’s currency. If Steam accepted the code but the balance is missing, check that you are on the correct account and restart the Steam client. If the error continues, send a support request with your order number and the error message.

If your account has never held a Steam Wallet balance, Steam may ask for your current address to establish its currency. An existing wallet keeps its current currency when funds are added.

Steam Guard must have been enabled for at least 15 days, and your account needs a qualifying successful purchase more than 7 days old and less than a year old. Steam purchases of wallet funds, games, DLC and software can meet that purchase condition. The account must also be unlimited and have completed any other applicable waiting periods.

A Steam Wallet Code is a digital code that adds funds to your Steam Wallet for games, DLC, software and other content sold through Steam. The codes on this page come in US dollars (USD), euros (EUR), pounds sterling (GBP), Polish zloty (PLN), Hong Kong dollars (HKD), Philippine pesos (PHP), Saudi riyals (SAR), UAE dirhams (AED), Qatari riyals (QAR) and Kuwaiti dinars (KWD). Once your order is complete, the code appears under My Orders, and you redeem it yourself on Steam’s redemption page.

Which Accounts Can Use a Steam Wallet Code?

Steam limits code redemption to the currency of the wallet, so a code goes into a wallet that uses the same currency. Your balance and its currency appear next to your profile name when you are signed in. Pick your wallet currency at the top of this page to see its codes; the notice under each option says which accounts its codes work on. The Philippines codes are for Philippines-region accounts.

Plenty of accounts outside the US hold dollars too. Steam has sold in USD in Turkey and Argentina since 20 November 2023, and accounts in the other countries of its MENA-USD and LATAM-USD regions, such as Egypt, Morocco, Oman, Bahrain, Ecuador and Paraguay, can redeem USD wallet codes. Steam uses EUR in countries such as Germany, France, Spain and Italy, while UK wallets use GBP and Polish wallets PLN.

Code Values and the $ 1 Code

The USD option runs from $ 1 to $ 100. Steam’s USD Add Funds page offers $ 5, $ 10, $ 25, $ 50 and $ 100, so a code of $ 1, $ 2, $ 2.50, $ 3 or $ 4 is a practical way to cover a small gap between your balance and a price. In the other currencies, each code’s value is in its product name. You can redeem several codes on the same wallet, and each one adds its value in turn. A value that is out of stock shows a Notify Me When in Stock button.

What Is the Steam $ 5 Rule?

Steam keeps features such as friend requests, the Community Market and trading limited until an account has spent at least $ 5.00 USD in Steam. Adding a Steam Wallet card worth $ 5 or more is one of the examples Steam gives for lifting the limit, and wallet additions in other currencies count at their USD value at daily exchange rates. A single $ 1 or $ 2 code does not reach it.

How to Redeem a Steam Wallet Code

  1. Open My Account → My Orders, find the completed order and click “See Codes”.
  2. Log in to Steam and open the Redeem a Steam Gift Card or Wallet Code page.
  3. Enter the code in the “Steam Wallet Code” field and click “Continue”.

The funds are added to your Steam Wallet and can be spent on games, software and other items sold on Steam. You can redeem the code through a browser on your phone, computer or Steam Deck; the funds belong to the Steam account you sign in to.

Random game keys that add a game to your Steam library are on the Random Steam Keys page, and all Steam products are listed together.
