Yes. Pick your Apple Account’s country at the top of this page, add the amount to your basket and complete the payment. The digital code appears in your order details under My Orders once delivery is complete. Turkey cards are sold to members whose account country is Turkey.
Only you can spend the funds added to your Apple Account. Other members of your Family Sharing group cannot spend that balance.
Apple recommends signing out of the App Store and back in to refresh the balance when a code says it has already been redeemed. An activation message is raised with the place you bought the code from, so for a code issue with your order, contact support.
No. Apple’s Japan gift card terms (opens in a new tab) specify an unlimited validity period. Once redeemed, the balance stays with the Apple Account where it was applied.
An App Store & iTunes gift card is a digital code that adds funds to your Apple Account balance. The balance pays for apps, games and in-app purchases from the App Store, eligible subscriptions, and the music, films and books your store offers. This page has cards for the United States (USD), Poland (PLN), Japan (JPY), India (INR) and Turkey (TRY), and each code redeems on an Apple Account whose country or region is the card’s country. The delivered code appears in your order details under My Orders, and you redeem it yourself on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows.
Which Apple Account an App Store & iTunes Gift Card Works On
The code’s country must match the country or region of your Apple Account, and the funds arrive in that country’s currency: the USD code redeems on a United States account, the PLN code on a Poland account, the JPY code on a Japan account, the INR code on an India account and the TRY code on a Turkey account. Your account’s store country appears in Settings under your name, Media & Purchases, then Country/Region. Pick the country at the top of the page to see its cards; the notice under each option says which accounts its codes work on.
The yen code is for people resident in Japan with an Apple Account set to Japan. The Turkey cards are sold to members whose GamerMarkt account country is Turkey; Apple calls this digital-content card family App Store Card in Turkey.
What You Can Buy with App Store Credit
Your balance pays for apps, games and in-app purchases from the App Store. It also covers eligible subscriptions, including Apple Music, Apple Arcade and iCloud+, where the service is available in your store. Music and film purchases through the iTunes Store or Apple TV app, and books through Apple Books, are covered where offered in that store. Content and services vary by country, and Apple may require a payment method on file for some purchases.
For eligible purchases, Apple tries your account balance first. If it does not cover the purchase, Apple attempts your primary payment method. A recurring subscription still needs enough funds or a valid payment method for its next charge.
How to Redeem an App Store & iTunes Gift Card
After delivery, open the order details under My Orders to copy your code or save it with Download Codes. On iPhone or iPad, redeeming takes three steps:
- Open the App Store and tap your photo, initials or the My Account button.
- Choose Redeem Code, then Enter Code Manually to paste the digital code.
- Tap Redeem to add the amount to the Apple Account you are signed in to.
On Mac, click your name in the App Store sidebar and choose Redeem Code. On Windows, open Apple Music or Apple TV and use Redeem under your name. Apple’s redemption guide (opens in a new tab) covers each device. The redemption code has 16 characters and begins with X; copying it helps avoid mistaking B for 8 or O for 0.
You can pay for the card with your GamerMarkt balance and top up a short balance from the basket. Under the Sales Agreement, delivered digital codes are not refunded; for a problem with a code, contact support with your order number.
Changing Country and Giving a Code as a Gift
Before you change your Apple Account’s country, Apple requires you to spend your remaining balance, cancel subscriptions that block the change and wait for their subscription periods to end. Pending activity and Family Sharing membership can also affect the change, and a payment method valid in the new country may be required.
You can give an unused digital code to a friend or relative who uses the same country’s Apple store. A Poland code, for example, needs a recipient whose Apple Account is set to Poland; once they redeem it on their own account, the credit is added to their balance and belongs to that account.
